what i do

i've embraced my outsider status. so can you.

about me.

being an insider is so boring.

The insider life. It’s the stuff of movies. Watching New Yorkers go from glassed-in conference rooms to expensive restaurants. The reality is much the same. New York is a glamorous place. Only, there’s a catch. The rest of the time, you sit at a desk. There, you manage things and hire experts to do the work for you.

Managing was boring. Managing was hiring people to have all the fun. I wanted to be hands-on. It meant saying goodbye to conference rooms and restaurants. It meant going from connected insider to journeyman outsider. It also meant growth.

Being an outsider isn’t second place. For a hands-on kind of life, it’s the pinnacle of living. Many of us crave insider status because of insecurities. I embrace being an outsider. For me, there’s nothing more fulfilling, and fun.
